The Station in Broussard hosted both one Hell of a party and a sad moment in Louisiana local rock all together. Last night owners of The Station unveiled the all newly renovated location. With double the capacity and room for fun this joint is sure to be where it’s at. With all the trouble with doentown these days, locals are surely in the mood for something new and freh. With its bright inviting interior, great drinks and plenty of room to party you have got to make your way out there, Last night Meriwether rocked the stage in their final appearance as a group….Man it always happens to the good ones… Bearfighter and Everbreath also rocked the house with killer riffs and crouwd pleasing solos. So now that you know that The Station in Broussard is ready for any size party on any night of the week, get your booties down there. Every night of the week you can find some sort of great party or food special happening. With a kitchen that pumps out some of the best burgers and chilli cheese fries in town, as well as the best crawfish you’ve had this is defiantly one spot you want to put on your GPS under “Party Plsces” thanks to the wonderful Staff and Management and fairly well to Meriwether. Now that school is back in the crowd is twice as big. And the partying is twice as hard… It was so nice to see everyone back that went home for the summer. City Bar Downtown was ready for the party andboy did they bring it. Special quests from the “The Hair Do” party were in the house showcasing their best work and “The Color Bar “ represented the best by far….. With their creative costumes and out of this world designs they sure do know how to do a DO !!!! Daiqs was the spot to be on Thursday, as the ladies of Lafayette drank FREE from 9-11…. Brandon celebrated his birthday as well and ended up wearing more of his cake than he got to eat…. JoBo did a hell of a job on the mic as he brought on a big show of Karaoke for all to enjoy. The talent was great this week and for the most part enjoyable. Daiquiris Supreme is defiantly where you wanna be on Thursday nights. So come on down an check them out…. Sadies Saturday night was off the hook, the music was great, the drinks were better and the atmosphere was electric. Everyone in attendance was ending their summer with a bang…. As summer comes to a screeching halt, the students of ULL get every last minute of partying in before classes resume Monday morning. What better way to ring out their last days of freedom than to have the time of their lives at Lafayette’s #1 Bar “City Bar Downtown”. With the beats pumping and the drinks pouring there was no shortage of booties shakin. But remember you can have your summer back every night if you want because City Bar has great nightly specials sure to please even the biggest party pooper. The Station in Broussard was the selected site this year for the “Rock the Green” Afterparty…. Even though the tournament was postponed to this coming Thursday , the show must go on !!!! ROCK 93.7 hosted the night and the party was great, drinks flowed and the guest of the party got the show of a lifetime as SINCE OCTOBER took the stage and rocked the house…All in all, it was a great night for a great cause and The Station was the perfect location for the party. With the all new expansion almost done and due to open this Saturday to great lineup of local bands, the size of The Station will double, you what that mean? Last night was another one to add to the book of memories for SUMMER 2010…… Lafayette’s #1 bar was off the hook as always. I don’t know if it was the great mix of hits or the drinks? But whatever it was they were doing it right. City Bar was packed back to front with birthdays, bachelorette’s and students just in for the night to bring in the fall semester right…But the good news is that we are gonna do it every Friday and continue for as long as you want us there. The ULL football season is almost underway and the night will be filled with pre-game day parting… Ill see you all next week.
